This executive leadership role is part of Ormat’s Electricity Segment global leadership team and is responsible for delivering all required business results from a designated portion of our US geothermal portfolio. The role reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Electricity Segment. This individual will be accountable for a significant fleet of geothermal assets, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and safety, environmental compliance, team leadership and people development within their assigned area. The individual will work collaboratively with their colleagues on the leadership team to define and deliver strategies to advance and grow the Electricity Segment’s contribution to Ormat’s overall business strategy. |

Safety: Champion a proactive safety culture across all operations. Work closely with the corporate Safety Team to encourage employee ownership of their safety, emphasizing preemptive measures and a zero-incident mindset.

Environmental Compliance: Working in collaboration with the EHS team, take a leadership role in ensuring your fleet of assets remains in compliance with all permitting and reporting requirements.

Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across all operations to meet and exceed production and revenue projections. This involves directing the efficient utilization of the workforce and equipment, conducting job cost analysis, and closely managing the costs of the business.

P&L Ownership & Financial Oversight: Take direct accountability for the financial performance and P&L of the assigned US portfolio. This includes developing and managing comprehensive budgets, directing job costing, and analyzing market conditions to ensure both profitability and competitiveness.

Strategic Leadership: Translate the vision of both the Company and the Electricity Segment into clear, actionable strategic goals for your portfolio. Exemplify executive leadership by providing direction and support to your team, and ensuring all operating policies and procedures align with and execute the strategic objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other teams across the business including both the Resource and Engineering teams to maximize the value and longevity of your geothermal assets. Lead the plant manager team to operate plants efficiently, and ensure a seamless flow of information across all departments.

Data-Driven Performance: Develop and implement robust operational systems, including setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating effective processes for root cause analysis and problem resolution.

Commercial understanding: Working directly with the Commercial Management team, develop an in-depth understanding of the PPAs for each of your assigned facilities. Ensure that you are operating in compliance with the contract terms and that you and your team are seeking opportunities to optimize our performance under each contract and seeking opportunities to grow our business with each customer.

Team leadership: Develop and maintain a high performing team at each of your assigned sites and ensure the team is highly engaged, motivated and aligned with the strategic direction. Work directly with the Electricity Segment leadership team to ensure that you and your team are creating the desired Ormat culture at each of your sites.

People Development: Manage the performance and development of each member of your team to drive the performance and culture that is required. Ensure you have identified and are developing the next generation of leadership talent within your team.

Organizational Leadership: Establish an organization wide level of leadership influence, foster a reputation as one of the key leaders and culture champions within Ormat. As a member of Ormat’s senior leadership group, engage in the development of overall corporate strategy and work collaboratively with your peer group to exceed the performance goals for the organization as a whole.

This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the energy sector and a proven track record of managing complex operations.

• |
Professional Experience & Skills: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the energy sector, with a focus on power generation.
|
|
• |
Operational & Business Acumen: A demonstrated, comprehensive understanding of power plant Operations & Maintenance (O&M), plant engineering, contracts, and business functions. You should possess a solid grasp of accounting, procurement, and other administrative functions crucial to running a profitable operation.

Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: A strong working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and the ability to ensure all operations remain in full compliance.

• |
Core Competencies: Exceptional ability to provide direction and motivation to a high-performing team. This includes fostering a culture of excellence, planning and directing complex programs, and managing high-level Human Resources matters in partnership with corporate teams.

This role requires a blend of both office-based work and site-specific operational engagement. The ideal candidate must be prepared to handle the physical and environmental demands associated with leading a complex, regional energy portfolio.
