Travel Coordinator

Position Summary
|
|
This position coordinates and executes travel plans and arrangements for travelers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
|
|
|
|
Essential Functions
|
- Coordinates with management and associates to provide travel-related information.
|
- Advises associates on the best travel plans based on their needs and requirements, within the guidelines of the Ormat Travel Policy.
|
- Researches, compares, reserves and purchases airline tickets, rental cars and hotel accommodations that best suits the traveler’s needs, while following the guidelines as outlined in the Ormat Travel Policy.
|
- Provides assistance to travelers during their travel. May refer travelers to other resources when travel assistance is needed or required outside of normal business hours.
|
- Enters payments and maintains travel related records and documents in the Ormat Business Travel Platform.
|
- A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
|
- Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as required.
|
|

- Performs other duties as assigned.
|

|
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
|
- The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school.
|
- Excellent customer service skills.
|
- Minimum 3 years travel coordination experience preferred.
|
- Excellent verbal and writing communicational skills.
|
- Good organizational, management and negotiation skills.
|
- The ability and knowledge to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
|
- Must have the ability to work without supervision.
|
- Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet.
|
- Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
|
|
|
|
Physical Requirements
|
- The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time.
|
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
|
- This position requires sitting/standing 80% of the time and walking 20% of the time.
|
|
