Position Summary
Develops and maintains familiarity with Transactions, Litigation, Regulatory Matters, Corporate, and Securities matters to support the General Counsel, Legal Department, and Ormat business team members.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and manage securities filings.

- Responsible for organizing and maintaining company compliance issues, particularly those related to SEC regulations.
|
- Preparing and reviewing corporate documents, including bylaws, minutes, resolutions, and contracts.
|
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining compliance and transaction records.
|
- Compile and distribute closing documents.
|
- Reviews/makes recommendations on a variety of correspondence and agreements pertaining to transactions and regulatory issues.
|
- Prepare, review and file transactional, litigation, and regulatory documents.
|
- Prepare ad hoc reports, analysis and conduct special projects.
|
- Responsible for maintaining department records through the use of SharePoint, Visio, and other document retention systems.
|
- Quarterly interaction with the Board of Directors, providing documents, assist with travel and other tasks related to assisting the Board of Directors.
|
- Provide support to the General Counsel and other legal team members in all areas as needed.
|
- Responsible for participating in research efforts including collection, assembly and tabulation of data.
|
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
|
- Must be self-motivated and able to use independent judgment requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
|
- May coordinate work of professionals, technicians and others outside of own department in various projects.
|

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Paralegal Certificate required, requires 7+ years' experience. Large law firm experience or energy experience preferred.

- Strong computer and Internet research skills. Must be advanced in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.
|
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to train others in system usage is preferred
|
- Ability and knowledge to operate a variety of standard office equipment
|
- Ability to work without supervision
|
- A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
|
- Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safety and efficiently perform the job duties
|
- Ability to analyze, gather and summarize data for reports and find solutions to various problems.
|
- Must be able to establish priorities, have attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines
|
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Physical Requirements
- The ability to work at a computer, and computer monitor, and use repetitive motion for long periods of time
|
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
|
- This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time.
