Position Summary

  • The position is responsible for ongoing support, training and analyzing new business requirements of the existing organization's applications

 

Essential Functions

  • Provides end user support for SAP and other business application systems.
  • Core customer support, innovative proactive activities, and participation in a continuous learning culture. - Involved in close collaboration with managers and technical leads.
  • Analyze and resolve ERP problems and issues and work with the business office and ERP Sustainment teams to resolve JIRA/HEAT tickets
  • Reproduce customer issues identifying the root cause and interacting with the development team to provide a final solution when required
  • Taking ownership for the incoming queue to ensure fulfillment of customers' SLAs and other contractual KPIs when required by correctly escalating, transferring, and reducing priority on incidents
  • Work with internal departments and development teams to understand the business needs
  • Assists business units in defining standardized processes and procedures as they relate to information systems
  • Support multiple locations, with travel to each as needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions to customers in complex environments for specific fields/areas.
  • Assists with documentation and record keeping or software change process
  • Write user guides for new and existing processes
  • Provide on-call support for global business units
  • Acts as a liaison between department end-users and IT in the configuration of data, application, system and technical requirements to ensure accuracy and operational performance.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between the ERP provider and departmental end-users for troubleshooting, version testing, and business process development
  • Train end-users on business processes and the accurate completion of those processes within SAP and other applications systems.
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision in a global team environment
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
  • Must be able to exercise independent discretion and judgement
  • Must possess at any time a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT's auto insurance carrier
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
  • Provide support for special projects and other duties as assigned
  • This position requires traveling to Israel on an annual basis

 

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience. Professional Training & Certification
  • At least 2+ years of implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise-level applications.
  • SAP MM, IM, PM
  • Technical skills. (Debugging, tracing, verifying complex customizing)
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of Business Management Basics and Basic Business Processes.
  • Must be skilled in documenting functional and non-functional requirements and reviewing design specifications
  • Must have prior training experience
  • Must have knowledge of financial processes and procedures
  • Proven experience working with applications supporting financial applications preferred
  • Proven experience as business analyst in ERP/SAP logistics + purchasing modules preferred
  • Proven experience and understanding of the full system development life cycle and the dynamics of application development projects preferred
  • SQL skills preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solver with the ability to exercise mature judgement
  • Proactive and responsible; able to set own action plans and manage multiple responsibilities at once
  • Proven ability to work creatively, innovatively and analytically
  • Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team
  • Experience working with technology staff at all levels (developers, database administrators, application experts)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • This job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping and kneeling
  • The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor for long periods of time and stay alert
  • This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time
  • Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds without assistance,
