Operations Maintenance Planner and Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing maintenance planning and supervising the warehouse function and personnel for designated department(s)/location(s). This position uses data analysis and monitoring to develop predictive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance programs to maximize the reliability of operational equipment and ensuring the cost-effective maintenance of assets.
Essential Functions
•Oversees all aspects of maintenance planning and warehousing for the department(s)/location(s). Administers the computerized maintenance management system to plan, schedule and monitor the completion corrective and preventative maintenance. Manage warehouse, equipment, and vehicle assets, including purchasing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and labeling.
•Directly supervises and manages the performance of warehouse staff, such as Warehouse Technicians and QA Technicians. This includes assigning tasks; setting and monitoring performance expectations; providing training, development, coaching, and feedback; conducting performance reviews; and making recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions. May direct the work of others related to maintenance support.
•Formulates and implements strategies to develop and update predictive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance programs to maximize the reliability of operational equipment. Optimizes inventory levels, streamlining purchasing processes, and ensuring the cost-effective maintenance of assets. Develops and enforces standard operating procedures for all warehouse and maintenance support activities.
•Authorizes the procurement of parts, equipment, and services, including vendor selection and relationship building, negotiation of contracts, and budget management within defined parameters. Makes independent decisions regarding the allocation of resources to ensure operational and cost efficiency.
•Establishes and enforces all safety procedures and ensures compliance with ORMAT, CAPP, NEC, NFPA, and OSHA regulations within the wellfield maintenance operations. Holds the team accountable for adhering to these standards.
•Creates, utilizes, and communicates data reporting to make decisions. Establishes operational priorities and ensures efficient workflow within the department.
•Generates, schedules, and assigns maintenance tasks, calibrations, and inspections. Manages and executes the delivery of these goals. Manages and audits the work of vendors and work orders to ensure work is being completed and on schedule.
•Maintains equipment and inventory data and utilizes is to evaluate and communicate the effectiveness of maintenance planning and warehousing and implements changes as needed. Ensure accuracy of equipment information, inventory, and assets and applies information analytically in planning.
•Determines the specifications for necessary parts and equipment, manages the purchasing process from vendor, in accordance with Ormat processes, from vendor selection to order placement. Resolves any discrepancies in received goods, exercising significant judgement in ensuring the best value and timely availability of critical items.
•Maintain equipment information, analyze, maintain, and execute preventative maintenance entities, based on Ormat’s SMPs plan, and ensure the integrity of the data in the maintenance management system.
•Serves as a technical resource for the maintenance mechanics, provides assistance resolving difficult work problems, and/or performs journey-level work in the troubleshooting, design, installation, repair, and upgrading of systems.
•Determines part, equipment, and labor requirements for repairs, improvements, and engineering projects.
•Effectively communicates planned & unplanned work, maintenance improvements and engineering projects/activities.
•Communicates with management any problems or issues with planning and scheduling and advise when planned downtime should be rescheduled. Communicates and coordinates plan changes.
•Read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, sketches and technical documentation.
•Assign work orders, predictive and preventative maintenance tasks to maintenance & operations resources.
•Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
•Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s safe driving program.
•Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.
•Must have the ability to travel to other locations and support the work of other department(s)/location(s) and work weekends and holidays, when necessary.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
•The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school.
•At least 5 years’ experience in the maintenance or engineering field(s).
•At least 2 years’ experience managing a team.
•SAP and CMMS experience preferred.
•Must be accurate, detail oriented, self-managing, self-motivated.
•Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
•Strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
•Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
•Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and Access is desirable.
•Able to work well individually or in a team orientated environment.
•Ability to multi-task well and change priorities quickly.
Physical Requirements
•The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor for long periods of time.
•The ability to lift 20 pounds periodically.
•Must be able to climb ladders, climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways.
•Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks, and gloves as needed). This includes company provided fire retardant clothing.
•Job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling.
