Position Summary
The Global Director of Learning & Organizational Development is a strategic leadership role responsible
for shaping and executing global initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee
engagement, and talent development across Ormat. This role leads to the design and implementation of
programs that support workforce planning, performance management, career development, succession
planning, and employee retention, with a strong emphasis on organizational development.
Working closely with senior leadership and HR teams, the Director drives cultural transformation, fosters
a high-performance environment, and ensures alignment between talent strategies and business
objectives. The role also champions diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), and promotes initiatives that
strengthen Ormat’s employer brand, employee experience, and organizational agility. This position
requires global oversight and collaboration, with occasional travel to domestic and international sites.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend structural or cultural changes to improve agility and performance.
· Oversee the development and execution of talent management strategies, including workforce planning and readiness assessments.
Learning & Development
· Design and implement global learning strategies that support employee growth, leadership development, and business performance.
· Lead the creation and delivery of onboarding programs, including quarterly “Business of Ormat” sessions for new hires.
· Partners with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to identify learning needs and deliver targeted development programs.
· Manage performance management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee development.
· Oversee the development of digital learning platforms and tools to support scalable, accessible learning experiences.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
· Develop and implement initiatives that advance Ormat’s DE&I strategy, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
· Monitor DE&I metrics and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
Strategic Partnerships & Advisory
· Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on organizational development, talent strategy, and employee experience.
· Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment of programs across regions.
· Evaluate exit interviews and other feedback sources to identify trends and recommend retention strategies.
Other Responsibilities · Promote health & wellness, employee recognition, and corporate social responsibility programs to enhance employee experience and employer brand. · Travel to domestic and international Ormat facilities as needed to support global initiatives and foster alignment. · Support to the Human Resources team on initiatives

· Degree in Human Resources, or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education, PHR or SPHR is preferred
· Minimum of 5 – 7 years related professional experience, HR Generalist experience a plus
· Global/International experience preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels, the ability to build relationships,
and strong customer service skills
· Strong presentation skills
· Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
· Must have the ability to work independently and be initiative-taking on issues

· Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in
word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word,
Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet, with working knowledge of HRIS systems
Physical Requirements
· The ability to work at a computer, and computer monitor, and use repetitive motion for extended
periods of time
· The ability to occasionally lift twenty pounds
· This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time
· The ability to travel when needed, including internationally
